Finally something positive to report

Finally able to have 2nd operation on Wednesday night. They found once they were in that my leak is almost healed and decided not to patch it with tissue. So after stint removed I guess my body finally woke up and did its on repair job . I did end up with a feeding tube, more for precaution than anything. So I'm continuing with tpn till next week. They will do a swallow test to see if all goes down right. If so I will finally get to start the liquid part of the plan. If I can handle the liquids they will allowe to leave the hospital! I've been here almost 8 weeks, ready to get my life back and start my plan. Lots of pain from the staples, it was an open operation but walking today seemed to take some of the soreness away. I have a long line of steel, not a pretty site, but worth it in the long run.

I can't believe you're walking! That's great! And it sounds like it's about time something positive happened. It's amazing how our bodies work and can just kick into the healing process. Good luck on a speedy recovery now that things are moving in the right direction!
