YIKES I HAVE GAINED 18 POUNDS
I never cut out carbs either... I think that is why some people are having a gain because they add them back in and then gain.
Maybe I didn't lose as much as I would have though...
Or I am just not far out enough to have the regain. I am 3 yrs po.
I never cut out anything. I couldn't eat much for the first 6 mths but I was eating whatever I wanted.
I need to focus more on my protein though. It seems like some of the people here are getting a lot more than me. I am lucky to get 90 a day. Maybe I need to focus on that more.
yes I have noticed a few times when I upped my protein the scale went down. I never liked shakes too much but put into sf pudding mixes works for me & keeps the scale lower.
yes I think we would have lost a little more cutting out carbs but I was past ever wanting to diet again at the time I had the surgery!
hahaha! It's like you are saying what I was thinking too... I was way past wanting to diet too. As long as the weight was going down, I was happy. My loss seemed slow but in retrospect, it was on target with most people - just maybe could have lost another 20 if I tried at all. LOL.
The only shakes I like are at costco. They are premade. They have 30 grams of protein and 1 g of sugar. They are actually good tasting. I like chocolate, not the vanilla. They are called Premier Protein.
Go through your cupboards and fridge and eliminate EVERYTHING that has ANY High Fructose Corn Syrup. Be prepared with how much food you will have to throw out. High Fructose Corn Syrup turns off the leptins in your stomach which let you know when you are full, leaving only the ghrelin (the hunger hormone). Next, get a bunch of flax seed oil capsules and take them religiousl with a high dosage of Vitamin B complex to curb sweet cravings. Flax seed will restore your leptins. In the meantime, drink lots of water to get that HFCS poison out of your system. Good luck.
