Pre-op weight loss?

I'm scheduled for my DS on 7/29. Wondering how much all of you lost before surgery? If not much were there any complications?

I've lost 10 pounds so far and have a good month to keep losing its just hard to stay away from everything bad for a long period of time.I want surgery to go as smooth as possible.

Congrats on your surgery date. I didn't have to do a pre surgery diet, it might have helped me adjust better to the surgery, though I did work out, someone said it would be good for me. The day before my surgery I quit smoking and I quit drinking 20 some years ago anyway. That was the extent of my pre surgery stuff.

So whatever you lose, know you are on the right track, and every bit helps.

I lost about 21 pounds before surgery give or take a pound or two. Sounds like you are doing great!

I'm just finishing up my last week of my 3 month stint with meeting with the dietician. I have lost about 8 lbs. Maybe more, because I gained a little at first and then lost it. 

I haven't started my 2 week liquid diet yet though.. That is going to be tough. 

Thank you all for sharing. My surgeon said he wouldn't be surprised if I lost 15 while on the pre-surgery diet. I haven't really heard a lot about it yet though. Is it one week liquid only or two? If just one what is the first of two weeks?
