Hi All,

Been a LONG time since I posted anything here.  yes

I have been in contact with Dr. A.'s office over the last several months about the possibility of a revision to my sleeve (i.e. re-sizing) due to greatly-increased capacity and hence my weight regain.  I was informed a few weeks ago by Vanessa, Dr. A's new concierge (also Dr. Kuster's - the plastic surgeon -  nurse/concierge, IIRC) that Dr. A. informed her that he "no longer performs the DS", but has apparently switched (no pun intended  ) to some new "better" type of WLS.

                                                                      WHA???

Dr. A. has been teaching this new type of WLS to other surgeons in India of late, from what Vanessa tells me.  She said she does not know the actual name of the procedure, but passed along to me that Dr. A. has a video of it being performed and that he said he would be forwarding it to me.  To date, though, I have heard nothing further from either one of them and my inquiries about this new procedure have not been answered.    I doubt, however, that it is the VERGITO, as I remember Dr. A. giving a big thumbs down on it back when I first mentioned it to him, his opinion being that it would not lead to as great a sustained appreciable weight loss compared to the traditional DS.

Has anyone heard anything about this development, or what the new type of surgery might be?

You don't think it may be the " POSE" which is through the throat and esophagus and staples the stomach about 30% smaller, and is designed to help the patient lose about 30-50 lbs or may as much as 70 lbs?       this proceedure isn't approved for USA and I can't see how it will work long term at all. Look it up on the web.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
