Homemade?

Getting my list ready to buy my pre-op diet stuff (begins tomorrow).   I am worried about the taste of some of these broths.  What do you guys think about preparing my own broths at home?  My family can eat the food and, I can have the broth.  Then, at least I know I'd like the taste.

Did anyone else try that?

I cooked so many chickens in my rice cooker with vegs and my spices, low salt and cooled them , scraped off the fat and portioned them and froze them , did the same with beef stock bones.  Froze the chicken / beef seperately strained the broths as well.  Definately like my own broths better than canned stock. Good luck on my DS.

By all means make your own.  But make sure you skim all the fat off.  When I was early out, any kind of fat or oil made me sick to my stomach.

Absolutely - home made would be awesome. I didn't do that pre-op but post-op I strained all the soup in my freezer because I like that the best.
