I always get my water/liquids in easily.  With the St Louis weather chanig to heat and  humidity I am craving water. popsicles anything liquid.  This is the first summer with DS (not the VSG) and wow am I thirsty.  Did any of you vets have a change in thirst with the hot weather?  Different from usual hot weather thirst.   It is not like I sit and sweat all day in the heat but I got for my little walk around my property in the am and pm and get the mail and I am dry, dry and dry.  I think I am putti nt hree 50 ounce bottle of water in a day and soups, jello & popsicles.  I do not want to end up in the Er for fluids!  broken heart

Smart!  I know of a couple of folks that have gotten dehydrated in the summer months and it caught them totally by surprise.

I've JUST started having an issue with this... like within the last two weeks.  I usually get in 1.5-2 gallons a day and the other day I came in short of 1 gallon and I was DEAD!  I can TOTALLY tell the difference when I don't drink enough water.  I wake up first thing and drink a bunch of water just to get the day started refreshed.

I'm 12 years post and the "word" is as a DSer you can become dehydrated FASTER than a normie.  This is a lifetime thing.  Of course summertime UPs the possibility.  Anytime I'm feeling a bit dehydrated I will switch to the bottle water called Smar****er.  It has a few electrolytes added, still zero calories and taste like...well...Water!  The added electrolytes do help.  Also...I don't like the taste of Coconu****er but it can be used as the liquid for protein shakes and such.  Coconu****er naturally contain electrolytes...thus helping keep you hydrated.
