I have labs due this Thursday, so how long before bloodwork should vites be stopped & which ones?  Thanks.

I didn't stop taking any vitamins or supplements before my blood work.  My labs were within range, although the new NP, who was totally and completely clueless about the DS, expressed alarm about my so-called "high" Vitamin D.  I ignored her recommendations and kept on doing what I do.  I need to keep my Vitamin D rate up.

My surgeon requires a 72 hour hold on all vitamins and fasting the day of the blood draw.

She says this is the only way to get real levels, which are not artificially inflated by the day's vitamin and protein intake.

Only 12 hours. The last 2 dieticians and 1 that has about 20 years of experience have said that most vitamins don't even show up on tests for 24 hours some a week. They would rather you test as you plan to go along.
