Question about fruits and veggies
I was out and about yesterday and stopped at a buffet for a salad ( I am 3 months out). My salad consisted of tuna, hard boiled egg, a few chunks of chicken and ham, 1 tab of black beans, shredded cheese, a few slices of pickled beets and cucumbers and lots of full fat roquefurt dressing. I ate about 1/3 of it but loved every bite and it set quite well.
I have been eating salad with some sort of protein meat since I was 5 weeks out. It does cause you to go poop a lot but not so bad that I would not eat it. LOL. I love salad. I just had a tuna salad salad with onion, pickle, tomato, jalapeno and ranch dressing from Subway today. It was so good. I am two months out. I am sure I will have a couple bathroom poopies in the morning but hey when do I not now? YMMV.
I've been craving, CRAVING a nice big salad, too.
I caved a couple of weeks ago and had some cherry tomatoes and ranch dressing. BIG MISTAKE. I had the worst, most painful poop. They were out of my system and in the toilet in ONE hour. It was really rough.
Now I'm scared to try uncooked veggies, although I've had 1-2 baby carrots at a time with success. Cooked veggies don't seem to tear me up.
I'll try a salad again in a couple months, but for now, no. Since tomatoes are a fruit, I'm guessing other fruit would probably do the same thing, due to all the sugar and acid, so no fruit for me, either.
