Maybe it is muscle mass you gained and muscle weighs more than fat.

Exercise is NEVER a bad thing.  It's always the right thing to do.  I've been known to go up and down 5 pounds in just a day or two - we're women and it happens.  Maybe a little more salt than usual?? Maybe a few more carbs?   Sometimes your body just needs to reset.  I don't know how far you are in your journey, but if you are anywhere near 3 weeks out, then it may just be the dreaded stall/gain that everyone seems to experience.  I have been up, down, stalled, etc.  And I have driven myself crazy with what the scale says.  Finally, I've started paying less attention and weigh myself less often, and I'm much happier, and the progress even seems quicker when I'm not looking at every pound lost.  I went to the doctor today, and I lost 22 pounds in this last month...and I thought my weight loss had really slowed down because I was constantly looking at it.  So, don't sweat it, it will come off...just keep doing the right things :)

Thanx for your words. I am 10 weeks out today. Only diet change I made was to get some fat in. I get in VERY little. Maybe it is muscle. Yes we r women so I know how that goes. I think I'm going to weigh in on the 1st of every month an that's it.

Don't be angry at yourself, you're awesome!  Self-loathing is what got us here in the first place!

Just the fact that you're exercising is huge, and that must feel good in itself!

I have to admit I love the water an like the exercise class a lot. WE have what's called a lazy river. U walk against the current. I walk for an hour with. So its 2 hours on land. But I get the benefit of the resistance. Next week I start doing 2 full body strength training workouts. Can't wait cuz I wanna be stronger.
