Preparing for Pre-Surgery Visit... Help!

I am going to a triple appointment on Friday (doctor/pre-op, nutritionist and blood work).  Can you please send me questions that you asked or wished you had asked prior to your surgery? I want to be prepared and get answers to any important question that I can.

Have you checked www.dsfacts.com?  I think there's a list of potential questions there. I can't even remember what I asked my surgeon. My most significant appointment was with the dietician, she agreed that I would do best with the DS and went to bat for me with Dr Elariny. He breezed in and out and said he does very well with lightweight DSrs. And I thought, "he does well, what about us?" lol

I'm not familiar with your surgeon, so in your position the number one question I'd be asking is "Exactly how many RNY-to-DS revisions have you done, and who did you study this under?"

I would ask the Doctor about specific complications he has seen. Ask the nutritionist about post op support.
