Irregular Heartbeat?

Before surgery my EKG was clear. Since surgery, (3 weeks) my heart has felt weird. I had an EKG today and they said I have an irregular heartbeat. I'm following up with my PCP tomorrow. I know it isnt serious and probably just my body reacting to the stress from surgery. Anyone else had this happen, and did you find out what the cause was?

Do you have OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea)? If so do you sleep with a cpap? I know that sleep apnea episodes can trigger an irregular heartbeat. I have severe OSA and have to sleep with my cpap at 14mmH2O for my pressure, since getting my machine my irregular heartbeat is gone and my bp has dropped a lot as well as result. My father had a heart attack triggered by OSA. Worth looking into and having a sleep study done

"Irregular heartbeat" is an umbrella term.  Let's see what the PCP has to say.

 

I have had PVCs for years...."skipped beats".  Innocuous, but unnerving, to say the least.  I was put on a beta blocker which has kept the "fluttery feeling" under control.

I should get another sleep study done.  The first one was 75 lbs ago.  I wonder if I still have it.
