how long before returning to work
I was out for 3, but I also had my gallbladder removed and an esophogial ulcer repaired so I had a little more done than the average DS. Fortunately I have a desk job. I was really tired the first week back but it got better. I did find that if I sat too long I started to get achy, like everything was getting squished, so I'd get up every hour or so and walk around.
I probably could have gone back after 2 weeks, but I realized early on in week 2 I blew it my first week home. Didn't get enough water, wasn't eating enough, so I didn't feel ready. Was VERY light-headed and exhausted by the simplest tasks. It took me another week to make up for the first week and get myself back into "shape".
Make sure you behave and get your water in! That's the one thing I'd do over, pay more attention to my fluids.
By the 3rd week, I was done sleeping all the time and getting bored being at home. But everybody's different....
I had a complete hysterectomy in january and have used the full 12 weeks of FMLA.. thats the reason I am asking.... I hope my boss works with me... I wish they would hurry up and let us work from home :( anyways thanks ladies for answering my questions... so nervous and excited to get this journey started... I have been over 300lbs since I was 18 and pregnant with my 1st daughter... so I am ready... its time momma took care of herself... my oldest is now 18 and my baby is 17 and shew... I just dont have enough energy! anyways pray for me! and yall look wonderful! I love looking at the pictures before and afters! gives me hope
