Poo Pouri is good on the go (so to speak) but for the hotel room there is no equal to the Ozy Jr. or Ozone Jr. This thing is amazing!!!

No matter what the odor and I mean anything (!) this thing takes care of it in about 2 minutes and leaves no smell in its place.  Much better than any spray which never really gets rid of the original smell and leaves a odor in its place.  This is terrible in a small hotel room, the whole room stinks and is very embarrassing!

The Ozone Jr is absolutely amazing! I was afraid to stay over anyone house before, but now no problem, I can't say enough.  I take it everywhere, I even fly with it.  It costs about $60 from Amazon, but believe me it is worth every cent!  The only issue is that it needs to be plugged in so in public bathrooms I still use Poo Pouri.

Yea, I've heard about these things.  They are quite the rage in California for pot growers.  I gather people can grow weed in their basement and these things hide the smell completely - and that has got to be pretty strong magic.

I just returned from a trip- I drove about 600 miles in one day with my sisters and mom- we took 2 vehicles so I did all the driving in mine. I'm not sure when your surgery was but mine was in March so even tho I felt great I found myself quite tired at times so make sure you get little naps in there. I would also take protein bars, cheese and lots of water. I found I got a little dehydrated because I didn't get in enough water. We are leaving on a 2 week trip to Alaska and doing a ton of driving and I am planning on doing things a little differently- not so much driving in one day, getting a little more rest, staying more hydrated and getting in more protein. Those things are so much easier when we are at home.

Along with the poo pouri I would take a bag with an extra change of clothing that is easy to get to. I didn't have any bowel issues but came close and wished I had an extra set of clothing just in case. It made me nervous because I still don't know for sure what will set my body off and what is gas and what isn't- scary stuff while on a trip and driving. Have a wonderful time on your trip!

Thank you very much Sharon.  Great advise.  I did wonder if I was going to be able to drive 8 hours a day for 3 days strait.  I will leave 1 day earlier to give myself more time.

I totally agree with not knowing if it's just gas, or something that is going to ruin the day if I relax my grip on it.   I am 6 month out, and have carried a change of clothes and clean up supplies for months now.  I've had an accident while commuting home from work.

I do plan on eating cleanly for a week before I go - as a sort of insurance policy.  It makes it so much easier to drive for hours if I don't have to look for a bathroom at every exit off the freeway.

Good point about drinking lots of water.  I was thinking I would hit a grocery store every day and buy my food  - good, clean food with no sugar or tempting carbs.  And I won't have to worry about leaving my dog in the parking lot of restaurant.  I will just picnic with my dog in the hotel room.

I am driving to North Dakota.

I've never done a road trip before.  I'm taking my dog - a pit bull - for company and safety.

I was going to camp out part of the time, but I really need a private bathroom and I need it near me in the mornings.  My sister said camping would be the worst idea I have come up with so far.  She might be right on this issue.
