Has anyone suffered with sharp pain at the drain tube area.  I still have the drain tube in and this pain is so bad I can't walk or really move without severe pain?  I am trying to figure this out. Would an infection or hernia hurt with a sharp pain.

I would contact your surgeon about this.  I didn't have any pain with my tubes until they yanked both of them out.

CONTACT YOUR SURGEON!! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PAIN LIKE THAT. THE ONLY TIME YOU SHOULD IS RIGHT WHEN THEY PULL IT OUT AND THEN ITS GONE.

Yes, I think this warrants a call. What kind of drain do you have? Is it a JP drain? If so, is the bulb empty, or does it need to be emptied?

If it is a drain that looks like a noodle, that drains onto a dressing, is it draining anything?

I wonder if you have something backing up behind that drain that's just not coming out....
