I know don't weigh but I can't help myself. After two lap bands and hundreds of diets I'm terrified it might not work. Today is 4 weeks out. I haven't lost anything for about 2 weeks. Its scary. I don't know if I'm not eating enough. My docs office said to eat 3 meals a day and if I was still hungry to drink a protein shake. I'm never hungry so I can't fit in a protein shake. I eat my 3, 4 ounce sometimes 2 ounce servings. How much and what should I be eating to lose? I walked yesterday and rode my bike today. So I am getting out and moving.

I eat my 3 meals of 4 ounces, sometimes only 2 ounces a day.

Stop panicking. =) I had a two week period, almost at the same exact time frame as you, where I did not lose anything. It will kick back in. Your body is having to adjust to all the changes. I too understand after a failed band and 100s of diets. You will lose. You will!

I told my Doc I was eating only 3 times a day and he was angry with me. He said I need to eat at least 5 meals a day. I'm sure some vets are going to tell you to eat every two to three hours. An oz of cheese, cottage cheese, boiled egg, jerky, anything... even if its a few bites. eat every two to three hours.

I lose about 4-7 lbs a week. of course I had a lot more to lose than you.

Banded on 7/1/09,cool removed on 11/11... Switched on 2/5/13. Ticker includes 23lbs lost on preop diet...

Hi surgery partner.  Yes, just realized a couple of hours ago that it has been four weeks today...  Yah!  we made it...  I understand why you may be a little paranoid about the scale stopping, but when you look at how much you have to loose, its not a super lot...  I mean to say that you are a light weight.  It seems like the less you have to loose the longer it takes.  It might not come off super fast.  When your bigger it comes off faster.  I know this from personal experience.  You've had the DS, no worries.  Its going to come off.  Im with you on looking at the scale....ITS HARD NOT TO LOOK...lol  but since its making you frustrated, maybe you should'nt.  Or make a deal with yourself to onley look once a week.......its going to happen.

How is it going for you? What and how much are you eating? If you don't mind me asking.

Tilapia fish filet cooked in lots of lemon butter with green onions sprinkled on top.  I can eat about five or six bites of that.  Munster cheese.  Hilshire farm smoked sausage.  Tried some steaked cooked rare dipped in ranch, still a little to rough for me.  Wont be doing that again for awhile.  Chicken thigh with bites dipped in ranch, this also kills my stomach.  Shrimp dipped in butter or ****tail sauce.  I can usually eat four extra large ones.  sometimes onley three, but Ive also ate as many as five, just depends on the day.  Cottage cheese that I love didnt work, caused pain, Ill try again later.  Hard salami out of the deli cut thin and cream cheese spread on top. That worked really good, but I got tired of it.  I had some home made meatloaf tonight for the first time.  I cooked it really slow and low temp, so it would be really tender, and it went down really good.  In fact I could eat more bites of this then I thought I would be able to.  Ive notice that the things that work the best is stuff like the sausage, and fish or stuff that breaks down into little peices easy.  Of course the surger free jello,  I dont like the pudding, it taste like your eating nothing.  I had a few bites of fresh asparagus,  went down really good, and tasted wonderful, but theres no protien, so I wont make it a  habit, for now.  The one thing I still havent tried is a scrabbled egg.  As you know some people have alot of problems with this, maybe thats why I havent tried it, but I will.  Or maybe I'll do a soft three minute egg.  Those are awesome, my grandma used to make me those when I was a little girl.  Oh yeah, Ive tried the pork rines, always delishes but for me I find that after they sit in my stomach, and after I drink something they swell up and can cause discomfort.  So if you try them, dont over do, and mind your liquids.   Anyways thats what Ive been doing.  Im always trying to think of something new to try or add, and of course, PROTEIN DRINKS!  getting old fast.  getting ready to switch it up a bit and get me a new flavor  woo hoo, so excited...NOT!

Yep, I feel the same way.  I hate my sale because it is nothing but depression in a glass and metal configuration.
