I'm sure there is a post on here about what to buy for right after surgery. But I can't search posts on my phone.

What do you suggest I have on hand right after surgery? I'm thinking Greek yogurt and protein shakes. But that's all I can come up with. When I had the sleeve I also had pudding, applesauce, eggs and cream of chicken soup. But I'm thinking those might be too right after the DS...no?

After the liquid phase, I ate mostly yogurt.  Remember, you'll only be eating a couple of spoonfuls per meal.  My hubby was always good about keeping some mashed potatoes made with Lactaid on hand  in the fridge.  I'd put a small spoonful in my mini food processor with a poached egg, or tuna or green beans, etc.  Later you can even make this into a patty and fry it in butter.  Yum.  I also ate some applesauce and Lactaid cottage cheese...

As a 2 stepper I was having scrambled by the time I was 5 days out.  I'd be worried about apple sauce and gas on freshly spliced intestines.  You could try a little of the cream of chicken soup and see how you do - some end up lactose intolerant so just try a small amount.

The broth from chicken noodle soup and sugar-free Popsicles held me over for about a week.
