Is there a difference between hemmoroids (sp?) and fissures?

oh my gosh, no comparison.....a torn rectum is very very very painful (fissure), I have had 2, I got hemmoroids with my children they are nothing like fissures, fissures feel like barbed wire.....i would shake in pain and sometimes i would just lay on my side shaking in bed, and all that blood, it was a nightmare, you will have no question when you have a fissure, you can't mistake it for a hemorrhoid....
