When I know I am going to be out I carry some laughing cow cheese or some sort of cheese with me. ALso try Ezekial bread. It is made with low carbs and no flour. I eat a half a piece with lunch meat and it does not effect me.

Corbin- yes, I am on Prilosec...have been since years before my surgery, so I know what reflux feels like...bad!

I am NOT allowed to have seeds, nuts, raw fruits or vegs.

Thank you all for the feedback and great suggestions!  I love cheese, so I will def stock up on the Laughing Cow, Babybels, and cheese sticks.

I just can't get over the early satiety.  I guess I will just enjoy it while the pounds fall off.  I just have to remember not to order a burger when hubby orders a burger, as I did today...I had 3-4 bites of mine and he left 1/3 of his.  Boy have I turned into a cheap date!  lol

Justins makes these little packets of nut butter. You can buy them at Target, Amazon, and some grocery stores.  They have almond and peanut butter in a bunch of different flavors.  There's also these little tubs of JIF, but I like Justin's better.

Cheese sticks, individual Baby Bels, Laughing Cow wedges, individual mozarella balls, etc. are great...and can usually be found quite cheaply at Warehouse stores. (Well, cheaper than a regular supermarket).

Hard boiled eggs are great and easy and don't need refrigeration.

Turkey or beef jerky, pemmican, etc.

Around here, all of the supermarkets sell rotisserie chickens...and some break them down so you can buy a leg or what not.  You could always buy one (assuming chicken sits OK with you.)

Many health food stores, GNCs, some drugstores, and gyms will sell refrigerated RTD protein shakes.  So you could stop by and buy one in an emergency.

I used to like these protein wafer bars called Oh Yeah! when I was an early post-op, but haven't seen them around lately.  They were kinda like a protein loaded kit-kat.

Lap-Band June 14, 2001. Dr. Rumbaut, Monterrey, Mexico.
Lap-Band removed after 7 years and converted to Sleeve Gastrectomy on July 7, 2008 by Dr. Roslin.  I've had three happy healthy Lap-Band babies.... and one VSG baby.  5 years out from revision to VSG.  Gained 55 pounds in past 5 months, now considering DS. :(

Thank you, all!  I am treating myself to a trip to Wegmans tomorrow.  It's a bit of a hike, but I'm meeting a friend for lunch, and I'm looking forward to see what their healthy food department has to offer.

It's a whole new world!
