Anybody have their surgery in east tennessee?

Anybody have a recommendation for surgeon in knoxville tn area??? it would be appreciated!! Thanks Brooke

My surgery is scheduled for June 10 with Dr. Boyce in Knoxville. He is great!

Just make sure you listen to the vets HERE on vitamins...his are bare minimum for WLS and he sells his own line. Can we say "conflict of interest"?

He's an excellent cutter, but the day of surgery will be the last time you actually see HIM...after that, it's just the staff in his office. Follow up is handled strictly by his nurse, the nuts, and the exercise physiologist.

Thats so exciting! I wish my surgery was that close. I have for first appt with Dr Ray at foothills wl in maryville on june 10th. Im trying to find out if i should change places or not. what surgery are you having if i may ask?

I'm scheduled for DS with Dr. Boyce on July 23.  At the support meting I went to, I heard a lot of good things about him and the whole Bariatric staff.  I am so excited, I can't wait!

See i think i am going to persue Dr.Boyce for DS surgery. at foothills they dont do DS and i think thats what i want. thank you all for your replys Brooke

Obviously I think the DS is the best choice. (*grin*) I've had mine 9.5 years now, and couldn't be happier.

I had my surgery with Dr Boyce on 3/4/2013 and I have to say he is fantastic.....and things must have changed since I have seen Dr Boyce twice now since surgery on my 2 week visit and at my 3 month visit, and he has a wonderful staff as well.  Also the barriatric ward at tennova is top notch the care they give you while in the hospital is A+++ nothing but good things about my whole experience so far!

I had my DS done with Dr. Boyce. He's a great surgeon and I would highly recommend him for the actual surgery. Aftercare is questionable though. I don't see them anymore because I felt like they weren't a very good help to me afterwards.
