success of revisions

Hi,

I am working toward getting a revision from VBG to DS.  My surgeon is one of the best in the Midwest for DS and DS revisions.  My question is: for those who have had any revisions, was it successful?  I feel like a total failure because my VBG didn't work for me the way I thought it would.  It failed me and I failed it.  I am older and wiser now and working toward permanent changes in my eating habits.  Just tell me-is it worth it?

 

As long as you limit your carbs and sugars you will lose weight. Stick to the DS diet and you will see it come off. I was band to DS and could not wait to get that piece of poo out of me. I feel so much better. 

get rid of that garbage....there was a user on here that went to dr G. in NJ to get revised from a vbg to the ds, do it, any band stinks, they have abandond that surgery, get rid of it, you will not believe how great you will feel, will you get to a bmi of 20, maybe not, maybe yes, but you should get to a normal bmi or close to......save your health, you will lose weight with the ds.....(i am a band to ds)

I'm a two parter and I didn't have my stomach touched when I was switched. I low carbed it and made it to the healthy thanks to the malabsorption.
