Newbie here....
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum and would like some info and encouragement from some other vet DSers.
I have lost over 100 lbs, which came off the first 9 months, but now am at a stand still.
I am having trouble ignoring my sweet tooth and snacking. Of course this caused terrible gas.
What are some of you doing for your sweet cravings and snacking habbits?
I am a total sugar **** and have to reign myself in from time to time on a kind of "detox" if you will. I will do some serious protein loading. The key is making things easy to grab and go, so thee is a little preparation involved, but the result is something easy you can grab when you want a little something. Trick your sweet tooth by making SF custard, flourless peanut butter cookies and ricotta fluff to satisfy your cravings with huge protein benefits.
For snacking, I don't see a problem with it, as long as you're snacking on good things for you.

Welcome to the Dark Side (DS)!
I go for what I want, when I want it. That said, I snack on things that are good for me, high protein, low carb.
I do, however, have an affinity for bananas. I freeze 1/4 inch chunks on toothpicks, and make up some sugar-free dark chocolate dip. I use Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa powder, Splenda, a teeny bit of cooking oil and water. I whisk it together, and use it as a dip for my frozen banana chunks. With apples, peanut butter straight out of the jar, and I always keep cheese cubes in the fridge. I also snack on canned fruit - mandarin oranges, fruit ****tail, pineapple, applesauce, etc.
I'm a yogurt freak, so I buy large containers of plain unflavored Greek yogurt, and flavor it myself using extracts and Splenda. That way, I have many flavors which aren't available in the little cups, and I have pure protein without sugar. Yogurt is a snack food for me, as well as a staple for other high protein menu items. I use full fat sour cream on my baked potatoes, but when I run out, plain yogurt is a good substitute.
I flavor my shakes (yes, I still use them at 4 years out!) with extracts, too. You may or may not have to use shakes for your protein past the newbie stage; I do, because I can't eat enough to get all my protein in.
Don't worry about stalls, especially this early out. Trust your new tool. Stalls are often the body's way of catching up with all the changes that are going on. I lost weight steadily for two years, and had to find ways to get more carbs in to put the brakes on. Now, my body has stabilized at the weight it's going to be. I have approximately 15 pounds of loose skin and fat deposits that I will start removal of shortly.
