Still in hospital
Im so sorry you are feeling bad. The one tip I can tell you to do that might give you some releif if you are not already doing it is, That when I had my DS a little over a week ago, I also had dry mouth, and could not swallow a thing for a few days. They gave us a large container and a bottle of water, we could take a drink and rinse our mouths, and then would spit the water out into the container. I did that all day, and all night, until I was finally allowed to swallow. Really being able to do that made it really easy. Not bad at all. I dont know what I would have done if I couldnt have done it....

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time of it. Revisions are rough, esp RNY to DS revisions. I'm sure you knew going in that complications are much more likely with this type of revision, but that knowledge isn't very comforting at this point.
You have an excellent surgeon, and it sounds like he's staying on top of things and doing all he can to get you healed. It may take awhile. Please accept that, and hang in there with your surgeon as best you can. Don't worry about the added weight - it's fluids. When you "turn the corner", as they say, and start to get better, tha****er weight will fall off.
There are lots of positive thoughts headed your way. It WILL work! Give yourself time to recover and know that this is temporary, as bad as it is.

PS- when I was in the hosp I had the dreaded dry mouth and they gave me cough drops- don't know if that is doable for you or not but it really helped. They also have those things you can swab your mouth with.
