Today I got my first whiff of stinky gas and bm. This is going to be interesting. My stomach doesn't care much for split pea soup. On a good note I'm feeling much better today.

lol  The more interesting the food, the more "interesting" the smells. Welcome to DS 101.

Split pea soup is high in carbs and sugars, as are beans, even though they are a source of vegetable protein.

The DS likes animal protein better.  Although, that's not to say that pure protein will give you odorless BM's. S--- stinks!

Your DS was less than two weeks ago. Split pea soup is not something you should be eating. Low carb, high protein. The DS works its magic early on. You don't want to sabotage your efforts by filling up with carbs. And you need to maintain protein levels in your blood. I'm not sure where you got your advice on what you should be eating early on, but I think you should do a little more research. There are tons of good suggestions on past threads.

OMGoodness, I ate split pea soup three weeks out. Honestly I did not know peas had so many damn carbs in them. I SO PAID FOR IT. I had the ****s all day. I will not touch it again. I love it too.

Get yourself a copy of the Atkins diet book and have a read. You're sabotaging yourself by having horchata and split pea soup already.

Oh my goodness, I am not self sabatoging. The whole 1/4 cup of horchata was a mistake. The split pea soup is on my doctors list. I am very obedient to my doctors orders. I appreciate you trying to help me, but I feel like your judging me by about 1/2 cup of food.

Doctors' diet plans aren't always the best - mine had jacket potatoes and toast on their list once I was a month out.  Atkins is a safer bet especially so early out.

Stick to soft stuff of course, but closer to Atkins - you'll have less GI issues.
