***Tuesday Bites, Vites & Exercites***
The various low-carb tortillas out there -- a whole bunch of companies make them; I typically use the ones from Mission, but they all taste pretty much the same -- are really not bad. I mean, I wouldn't eat them on their own, but toasted in some butter, or sandwiching some melty cheese, they are pretty delish. The come in at about 6-7 grams per tortilla, and they're not weeny-sized either. So a quesedilla is definitely an option. The only thing you might want to note is that virtually all of them contain soy, so if you've got thyroid issues, make them an occasional treat rather than a staple of your diet.
my heart and prayers go out for those effects by the terrible storms.

Prayers to the people in OK.
I'm starting to wonder if I should be forcing in some fruit and some intentional carbs.
slice of wheat toast maybe. Half a banana or some peaches in my protein shake?
I have a group meeting with the nutritionist tomorrow - Cleveland Clinic - I would like there
to be some DS specific material but my hopes aren't high. They seem pretty RNY oriented
so far.
Enough. On with the food.
B- Protein shake (24)
S - Boost (16)
L - Greek yogurt (13)
D - 4 oz egg beaters with a slice of provolone added (20)
Liquids 80, Protein 73 - a little low today. I got distracted and missed the evening snack.
If you want to add some fruit make it strawberries and blueberries in small quantities. Also, leafy greens are good. Mustard greens, collards, etc. are nearly as much fiber as carbs and cancels out the carbs you will absorb. Yeah, the dieticians and the DS vets don't agree on much. lol
