I have 190 pounds to loose is this a good combo?  What do you vets think?    Really Im not sad, like this little fella implies, but I am shrugging my shoulders, wondering if my combo is a good one....

100 cc is a good common channel. Good enough for you to lose the weight, yes.

One never knows until you make the journey.  Everyone is different.

Some people lose 200 lbs on a 250cm common channel, and I struggle to lose more than 50 lbs on a 75cm common channel.  It really is a crap shoot - unless you get a 50cm common channel, which is the shortest.   50cm might be a crap shoot of a different kind, if you get my drift.  It's all a trade off; the shorter the common channel, the easier the weight loss but the more health issues you tend to deal with.

It really depends on how broken your metabolism is, how old you are, how active (exercise) you are, how good are you at eating eating cleanly (no carbs), how good your attitude is during weight loss (no carbs, good sleep, no alcohol, keep exercising) - all these play a much bigger role in how successful you are on this journey than the length of your common channel.

Your 100cm is a good length for health/absorbtion verses weight loss.  You can lose the 190 lbs on this.  Is it going to melt off you without any effort?  Will you reach goal?  No one knows till you do it.

Good luck.  Work your DS hard.

What Jashley said.....  my common channel is 150 cm & we had our surgeries almost the same day and have lost the same amount of weight.  You will not know until you 'work' your DS.  But the results so far have been amazing.  I am thrilled with not only the weight loss but a ton of other NSVs and my recovery has been uneventful!  Labs are good too.  In the long run I think general good health is what we are all looking for.  The weight will come off....whether it takes 9 months or 2 years...you now have an awesome tool!

My c.c. is 150 and I am at 124 pounds in 9 months.  It is a good combo - IMO

I think it is good. I am glad you posted your alimentary limb length because it makes a difference. I know people with long CCs that lost all of their excess weight. I know a lot of people with 50ccs that have zero problems and have lost all their weight. I believe that the 3 limb lengths that are a percentage of the total have the best results but there are no studies to back this up, it is just from watching people with the Hess method vs standard cuts.
