This is why I hesitate to take my DSer body hiking into the Sierras.

Very informative flow chart though.

I go 3-4 times a day.  That's a lot of blue bags.

I do think he missed an opportunity to draw attention to the bear in the woods.

Yes, I would have to take Imodium with me.  Along with my wet wipes.

My DH and I are driving up to Alaska for a couple of weeks and I have heard that there are very few pit stops in between where we are staying. I am just dying a thousand deaths trying to figure out how I am going to manage with my bathroom issues. I am only 2 months out so my Bms are still a little unpredictable!(TMI, huh) I guess I will figure it all out. You guys just keep putting out the info- I'm reading it all ! I seriously wish I had a few blue bags to take with me to use in the woods.
And just for the record- I live right at the base of Mt. Rainier!

Most of mine are morning runs.  After that, I'm good for the day.  So I have a trip planned, and my thoughts are to stay in the hotel room until I'm done, then get on the road.

I will also reduce my fats and take more calcium.  I would carry a bottle of Imodium just in case.  I have one in my back pack at all times.  I also have TP and wet wipes in the car.

Have a good trip.  You will have a great time.

OMG I like this one:

"- Are you a mountain runner?

- Yes

- Poop in a blue bag, put in your back pack for later".

Can you imagine running around with poop in your back pack - that's gonna stink and what if the bag splits!!

Exactly my thoughts!

I can't get away from myself fast enough in the mornings as it is.  Mine stinks to high heaven - even the dog wants to go lay out on the deck in the mornings till it's over.  I live in the forest, and I can almost detect a shift in migratory patterns every morning as I open up all the bathroom windows and get down to business.

I agree I can't just leave it in nature to bio-degrade on it's own.  It's terribly toxic - I think I've seen flying insects drop as they tried to get through the mist....  But I just can't imagine putting it in a bag and carrying it around with me for days.
