I knew they competed. I thought it would ne a more even distribution since I am getting my
calcium more from citrical that I take at different times from the multi. I'll start taking the iron
supplement in addition, away from the calcium and with vit c.

Thanks.

And iron in multi's is the wrong kind of iron.

Most who use vitalady use her tender iron. I tried it but it made me nauseous so I use the proferrin ES. It works well FOR ME!

Flintstones, gummies, etc are not for us.  Most of those kid vites are meant for 60lb children who are also eating a normal diet.  Sorry but you need real vites.  Yes, I know there are surgeons out there recommending them and it's a mistake on their part.

I started taking vites when I was 5/6 days post.  It took a while but I got them down.

I still use Centrum Chewables (two a day) as my back-up for all my other vites I take.  I also like chewable Vitamin C so I use that.  It is like a treat that I take after I have downed my handful of other vites.

By one month out I was taking everything VitaLady recommended.  She didn't have a starter pack then.  I don't think I would have used it anyway.

I got full labs at 3 months and started the tweaking process then.  The first year I got labs quarterly and am getting them twice a year forever.  At 2 1/2 years out I had to tweak.  I think it is just part of the journey.

I never took gummies, and frankly I think they would have been far more disgusting as a fresh post-op than at any other time. You have vitamin stores that will get you through the first few weeks, and by then you can take big people vitamins, or at least chewables. Bariatric Advantage also has calcium citrate lozenges that you can either chew or such on for your calcium, since that's the biggest and hardest to swallow pill. You can either get then from BA directly, or from Vitalady.

Gummies...yuck, and not even useful for us.

I was taking 12 grown up vitamins the week I was home from the hospital - real pills, too.  I could only handle one at a time, and I swear I was taking one every hour, but I got them down, and so can you.
