DS
There are a few folks that have gained a little too much but I've seen them go low carb and take most if not all of it off, even after several years post-op. It' happens sometimes but to nearly as much as with other surgeries.
Several have had babies post-DS and all I've seen had healthy happy babies and did well themselves.

I had my DS in October 2010. My highest weight was 302. I had the surgery mostly because I wanted to have a baby without fertility drugs (I have PCOS). I gave birth to my son this past October. At my lowest I was down to 152 which was actually a couple of months after I got pregnant. I gained about 40lbs during pregnancy and can tell you...it all came back off. In fact I got on the scale this morning and I'm actually down to about 149lbs. I'm not sure if it is guaranteed to work that way but I definitely had no trouble.
Good Luck
