I had my first "readjustment" that lasted for 2 weeks and everyone promised me that my DS was not broken. In the last 3 days I have lost another 3lbs so I am once again moving downward! I am now down 27lbs post-op (15 lbs prior to surgery) so I am feeling good about the progress. ( I am 7 weeks post op) I am totally impressed with all the protein and water you get in. I am still a long way from being able to eat that much. Yayyy for you!

For some reason I can take two to three decent sized swallows of water. It has made a difference. I know a lot of people cannot this early in. Maybe I have a retarded pyloric valve and it just runs through me lol.

Congrats on your your weight loss!!

You'll get there...just stay OFF the scale except maybe once a month or at doctor visits. Otherwise you will make yourself nuts.

And read this: Weight Loss Stall or Plateau

Duodenal Switch (Lap) 01-24-11 | Surgeon: Stephen Boyce | High weight: 250 in 2002 | Surgery weight: 203 | Lowest weight: 121 | Current weight: 135 | Goal weight: 135

Throw that scale out.  It is not your friend.  Everyone's weight loss is different and you are doing great:).  I don't consider this to be a stall this early after surgery.  Look at the big picture.  You're twenty pounds less than you were three weeks ago. Don't worry the weight will start coming off again as long as you are doing what you're supposed to do by following your surgeon's nutritional instructions.  Do you exercise?  That also helps accelerate your weight lost.

NO exercising yet. I have a serious back problem so walking alone is extremely painful. I can however tell that I have dropped 20 pounds when I walk now at work. The pain is somewhat less. As I lose more I will be able to walk more and eventually exercise. I may see if I can sign back up for water aerobics when I have the money =D

You are doing great Lizzi. I agree with the catching up thing. Our bodies have been shocked with the surgery. You read my venting text and posts.....you watch.... the next month it will fly off....you are doing great with the protein and water intake.....your body wiill catch on.....by this time next month your clothes will be feeling quite loose. Keep your chin up twinkie;)
