Mind games...Is this surgery REALLY going to work for me????

This surgery is scary, no bones about it.  It's major, and life-altering.  BUT, you have to remember the alternative: obesity and early death.

You have to remember that the majority of DS patients have minor or no complications.  Will you?  No one can know.  Your best defense against that is going to the best surgeon possible.

You'll lose weight.  With this surgery it's impossible not to.  How much depends on your limb ratio, sleeve and common channel, as you already know.

I'm about  a month out now and supplements are no big thang.  Just buy a med organizer from a drugstore, and remember to take your calcium and iron apart.

Remember, you're doing this for your life.  It's serious, but so is early death from obesity.  I did it for myself, but also for my husband and family.  They love me, and I owe it to them to do everything I can to stick around. :)
