Have you used Carbquik?

I've seen lots of recipes using CarbQuik.  I saw a lemon scone recipe that sounded really nice with tea.  Each scone will have 16 carbs each.

Will I have a reaction to eating one of these?  Will they cause gas and frequent trips to the bathroom?

I bought a big (expensive) box of carbquick. To me, everything I cooked with it tasted like cardboard. I tolerate carbs fairly well so I can't say what reaction others will have to eating this.

Gail is right.....very expensive!! But it made some really great pancakes when I really wanted 'normal' pancakes. I also bought Joseph's sugar-free maple syrup...really nice & thick....but it does have sugar alcohol. Neither the carb-quick or the syrup had any affect on my system.

Thanks for responding.  I guess I will have to try it to see if my system tolerates it.

Thanks again for the heads up on the bland tastes.  I'll keep that in mind if I make something out of it.  I have a couple boxes of this stuff and I want to use it up.

Pancakes sound really good - and I don't think I would mind if they tasted like cardboard if I had warm SF syrup...
