Hi, i was wondering if any of you's are familiar with the Isagenix brand and if their protein powder would be good for us DS'ers. I am not familiar with most brands that are cited on this site and since I know the Isagenix product to be tasty I was hoping to use this product (even though it is a little pricey)

Thx for your input

I'm not familiar with the brand but if the first ingredient is whey protein isolate and it has next to no carbs or fat, that's a good one.

I found it to be really expensive for what it is and actually high in carbs.  A 2 week container of protein is about $40.  Also, for one shake, it has 23 grams of protein and 22 net carbs (16 of that is sugars).  Their shakes are whey protein concentrate, which isn't the best for us.  I actually did try the shakes when my husband was doing this system.  I was really disappointed in my muscle tone, or loss, I should say.  I finally just decided to get straight unflavored whey protein isolate.  I use NOW brand unflavored whey protein isolate and have been really happy with it and how it makes me feel.  I've had an increase in muscle tone rather quickly too.  My husband stopped the Isagenix completely and also immediately noticed being fuller longer and muscle increase faster with the whey isolate.

If you don't mind spending money on the protein shakes, you should go with ISO PURE or ISO SENSATIONS 93.  They are Whey Isolate, highly reviewed, and have decent flavors.  ISO PURE can be found any where - GNC or online.
