Anyone have a heartburn problem even while taking reflux Rx?

Hi guys I am 31/2 years out and last few months I've really been suffering with heartburn. I take Rx Prevacid 30mgs everyday usually around noon so it lasts however late afternoon I feel it again. Its very uncomfortable and dangerous.

Anyone have this issue and what did you do? Is it OK to take another pill or maybe something different?

Hi, at one point I was taking 20mgs of Nexium twice a day, but under doctor's orders. I suggest calling your doctor and getting an opinion first.

Is heartburn or acid reflux a product of the surgery or is this something you had before?

Occasionally I would get it before, but now its a daily Rx

I continued to have acid reflux every night; my surgeon's office gave me a prescription for Protonix and after a few weeks I am finally free of the heartburn (except when I have a lot of dairy).

Anyone have a heartburn problem even while taking reflux Rx?
