IV iron....STAT!!!! It wouldn't hurt to ask them to hang some calcium with that, too. I struggle with my levels, too even though I take double what I'm supposed to. I think the Proferrin ES might be the problem. Try to find Proferrin Forte. ES is extended release, and DSer's don't absorb extended release *anything* well !

That's why we're told to split the Proferrin into 2 pieces before taking it and some docs won't prescribe the Proferrin Forte. I'd still split in to 2 pieces even if I was taking the Forte. Just stubborn...I do that with my HRT tablets. Dang things only come in ES.
