Protein powder in your carry on?

I'm flying and wanted to know if anyone knows about taking protein powder in your carry on? I have a new 1 lb sealed bag I'd like to take, but certainly don't want to risk TSA confiscating it. Thanks for any input!

I asked the same question to TSA on my last flight.  They told me there would be no issue at all with the powders.  Now if you get the same answer I got is the big question!!

If there is any doubt, why not just put it in your luggage? Surely you can survive the flight without protein powder. Just make sure it is in the center of your clothes protected from all sides. Baggage handlers are not known for finess. Another thing you might consider is somehow making a copy of the label from the powder and putting it in the bag visible to whomever might see it. I usually put the whole label in there. The side with the product name, and the side with all the nutrition info too. I do this with my vitamins too. I put all my daily packs in one big zip lock with a list of everything that's in there. I've never had a problem.

Thanks for replying! It will be in my carry on. I never drink it on the plane, but need to have it for the week I'm away. I still can't EAT enough protein even after 2 years!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger!  It's been four years for me, and I still can't eat enough protein either.  I''ll be on protein powder for life, to make sure I'm getting what I need, no matter what the NUTS say!

I took a ton of protein powers in my carry on internationally without any problem.  I also took a wire wisk and a sieve in my carry on.  No questions asked.
