Hi All

I am on full liquids and on my list it says about mashed potatoes, but I was wondering if we could add pastina (baby pasta) in yet?

THanks

It'll probably give you gas (and the really stinky type).  I'd avoid it until you're well healed and close to goal as carbs will slow your loss.

Pasta can be the devil to your guts. Also, it's all carbs. Mashed potatoes usually do have a LITTLE bit of protein and fat.

Pasta is one of the worst foods a DSer can eat. I would really try to write it off forever except for some very special occasions. (And then plan on some terrible gas and possibly stomach cramps.) It will stop weight loss and later you can regain quickly on a pasta diet. Simple, refined carbohydrates are really our enemy.

Pasta has zero nutritional value for you.  Take a look at egg drop soup.  Pretty simple, chicken broth with eggs stirred up and cooked in it.  Or how about SF pudding with protein powder in it?

wasn't sure if we could have egg drop soup but that does good right about now just to get something into my stomach besides, sf pudding and sf jello.

Yep you should be fine with that... I may have to get some myself tomorrow (I'm well past a soft diet, but it tastes good all the same and has about 5g protein per cup).
