How many carbs a day after DS surgery???

I wouldnt do that at ALL. Youre asking for serious trouble. I started out on my surgeons recommended vites (after much warning from vets here). He uses the Vita4Life program (or did, I think even he has abandoned that for Vitalady). It was 6 pills everyday of a specifically blended post WLS vitamin blend, for DSers. My labs tanked. FAST. By my 3 month draw I was deficient in nearly everything. I went on the Vitalady deficiency plan until things came up and stabilized, and then anything that was consistently high, I just started cutting back and tweaking until I got where I am today. It is HARD to pull yourself up and you feel like CRAP when you are deficient. Start with Vitalady full plan and work down... Not the other way around. If you cant or dont want to spend the money on vitamins, dont have the DS. Period.
I never bothered counting carbs. Instead I would order what I ate: I would eat my protein first > then veggies > then save a couple of bites for whatever I wanted. With this method, I never felt deprived, but having a fairly full stomach before indulging, I didn't have the room to get into trouble.

I get about 150 in on average. But I also drink 150-190 grams of protein in powder, pre made shakes, and shots a day. And I eat like eating is going out of fashion. I eat every two to four hours. I can go through a costco sized thing of babybel cheeses in about four days.
Last time I checked I was getting upwards of 4000 calories and 400 grams of protein and 150-200 grams of carbs a day.
I eat a lot like Val, I eat protein first and then whatever else of the rest of it I can shove in my face. I long ago stopped eating no carb pizzas and other things, I just generally hate them. I eat double toppings on single bread.
I'm four years out on the 20th and I have a 150 CC. I have been and remain in a 155-165 window with very little effort.
