Common Channel left longer 150 to 160cm anyone out there have good weight loss

Im getting ready to have surgery next month, and im looking for people that have longer common channels.  I was just wondering if you were able to achieve good weight loss and get to your goal weight, or at least close.  Appreciate any thoughts or experiances you might have to share

Yeap, 175 here and I got to goal...have had a 10 lb bounceback but still under a 25 BMI...so yes, it can be done but it does take diligence.

The up side is I seem to get better nutrition from the longer channel so my vitamin regime isn't as long as some.

Downside is I've already had a 10 lb bounceback.

A friend of mine's is 150cm, and she never made it to goal some 4 years later.  That being said, she still lost a LOT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thanks everyone for your imput.  I just emailed my Dr. to finally set a date.  Im shooting for 3 week in may.  Gives me time to go on a liquid diet and shrink my liver for him...lol.  Southern lady, Im pretty sure your the same one I talked to alot about vitimans, and the common channel last week on another site...lol  We talked back and forth quite a bit for about three days..lol  Your sweet, and really eased my mind on the vitimans....well maybe Im still a little nervous, but mostly about EVERYTHING...lol  You've been a great friend and person to talk to about this, and I appreciate it.  These sites for the WLS communitiy are so important and valuable to weight loss surgery patients.  I cant imagine doing this without all of the support.  I love UTUBE also.

I have 150 cc.....lost 50 lbs so far....I had surgery on 1/24/13.....its working for me;)

My common channel is also 150cm & I am down 55 lbs in 3.5 months!!  I am also a 'lightweight', so I need to lose just over 100, so I am hopeful that my goal weight will be an attainable amount.

My CC is 75.  That's pretty short.  And I never made it to goal and I still diet all the time.

Why do you want such a long CC?

My Dr. tends to leave them longer so you dont have vitiman issues, and poo, and gas issues.  Im just doing a little research before i have my surgery next month.  Im thinking about saying how about 125cm....lol  we'll see. have you had any of these issues?

Patty, do you have the "horrible"problems with gas and vitamins and such with your length?
