I'm Home!!!
Hi All
I survived surgery :) there were 2 glitches g-bladder was filled with stones and my appendix was around my pelvis but otherwise then that it was a normal surgery. I have a 75cm common channel is that good for loosing the weight? I am on full liquids right now till the 19th when I go back and see Dr. G. The hospital staff was great had a private room, just not thrilled with the 3a.m. blood pressure wake up call lol. Well right now I am just trying to get comfy now.
Thank you all for your well wishes and support.
Michele
Yaayyy! Its always nice to be on the other side of things. Just take it one day at a time. My Dr. promised me that there would come a time when you would turn a corner and you would know it. I have found there are lots of little corners that I turn and each one makes me mindful that I am a little closer to healing up and feeling better. Tonight I am going to try and sleep in my own bed- that will be a huge corner! The more food I can keep down each day is another corner that I turn!!
congragulations to you!
Sharon
Glad to hear you made it home, Michele! I also just made it home - had laproscopic DS with sleeve on 3/26, but had to go back in to open it up because of bleeding on 3/28, and made it home this Wednesday. Recovery time will be a little longer, but just glad to be home and healthy. Having a lot of problems with diarrhea I think caused by the antibiotics. Are you having the same?
Welcome to the dark side! : )

So, Michelle, are you the reason Dr. G missed the info session on Monday? He phoned and said surgery had run long & couldn't make it. The other surgeons were there, but no Dr. G. I'll see him this Tuesday for my initial consult.
Welcome home! Rest easy and take good care of yourself.
