I need a little encouragement. I haven't been able to move the scale much in the past month, or even week to week. I know all the things - losing inches, weight fluctuates, etc. I am totally committed to making my DS work for me. I see all kinds of contradicting things from keep calories under 800, to don't count calories, you're probably eating too much to you're probably eating too little, eat tons of fat, and it goes on. The one common thing is to limit carbs - and I try to keep them under 50 a day. I don't eat stuff like chips and crackers, candy, potatoes, rice, noodles. I pay attention to labels and try to be aware of hidden carbs. I realize this is all YMMV and everyone's journey is different. People can only share what works for them. I'm just not sure where to go from here. I seem to be doing everything right, but I'm not having great successes. I'm probably just impatient, but I'm afraid I'm missing out and doing something wrong during the period where weight loss is going to be the easiest for me. I don't know what, if anything to do differently. Am I eating too much (I probably get about 1,500-1,600 calories a day), or am I not eating enough? Arrrgggghhhh!!! The one frustrating thing about t his whole journey is the lack of guidance in how to eat. They just give you your new innards and send you on your way to figure it out.
You've lost over 100lbs in less than 6 months - you're in a stall as you're body probably has no idea what hit it!! Eat Atkins style - so that's high protein and fat and low carb. Read the book if you need a refresher. Don't count calories - you don't need to. I'd stay off the scale for a while too as there's no point stressing yourself.
Remind yourself how far you've come and what things were like when you were a 100lbs heavier. And cut yourself some slack... in fact give yourself a pat on the back for losing so much weight - THAT'S AN ORDER!!

I had my surgery just a couple of weeks before yours and have lost 102 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down a lot in the past month (just 8 pounds last month), so I understand why you may be concerned. I do exercise 3-5 times a week. Is that something you have started on? I also got much more concerned about carbs this month as things slowed down, ( from your list it looks like your carbs are lower than mine - I do love my fruit.)
Hang in there and just look at any little changes to can make to shake things up. I think our bodies try hard to get into "neutral."
