I have a date!

My date is May 14th. I am so nervous, but excited too. My new question is did any of you cheat on you pre op diet? My son is getting married on May 3rd and then May 11th is my mom's 80th birthday party. Its not that I am planning on cheating, but I might want to eat with everyone at my sons wedding. It would be a little awkward not to. My starting weight is 212. Yes, I'm a light weight. I have never been able to maintain a weight or a size for more than 2 years at a time. Every two years I'm a new size. This has been since I was in 3rd grade. I don't dream of being a skinny person, just an average size person. I hope the DS can get me to maintain a normal weight.

I "cheated" on my two week diet but i stuck with protein. I still lost 23 lbs on my two week pre op diet. I would eat one thing a day be it breakfast lunch or dinner. 3 days before I did not cheat.

Banded on 7/1/09,cool removed on 11/11... Switched on 2/5/13. Ticker includes 23lbs lost on preop diet...

I think most folks cheat a bit on their pre-surgery diet. I just made sure I lost what the surgeon wanted, and didn't cheat the last 3 days before surgery.

Good Luck.

I didn't have a pre-surgery diet and enjoyed a bar a chocolate the day before surgery.
