Surgery Scheduled!

My surgery is scheduled for June 10. I hate that it is so far away, but thankful that I am having it done. They had an open date mid May but we are going to NY for a wedding on Memorial Day weekend and wouldn't be able to go. I did ask them to put me on the waiting list to be moved up if anyone cancels between now and then since I've been on liquids (have cheated a little bit) since January 30 and that is over 2 more months away!! Either way, I am happy about it. Now here come the longest 2 months of my life!!

You have been on liquids for two months? Do they expect you to stay on a liquid diet until June? I I have never heard of that before. Seems a little rough. Five months on a liquid diet? Usually it is just for a few weeks before surgery. 

Yes. I gave been on liquids for two months and am supposed to stay on liquids. Not for a pre-op diet but because I have a slipped band and my surgeon doesn't want it to get worse or end up in emergency surgery if sonething gets stuck bad.

Ah that makes sense. I thought your surgeon put you on it for pre surgery diet. LOL. My bad. I was like WHUT! =)
