Question for Dr. Ungson DSers

How did you get in contact with someone to set things up? I sent a message to the email address on his website, but I find it hard to believe he is doing all his scheduling without a coordinator. Once you do get in contact with someone, who schedules the hotel? I went to the website to check availability and it looked like it was booked til next year. How do you pay for Mexico surgeries? Do you bring the lump sum with you or do you have to pay a deposit in advance? I know these questions are probably on par with what I should ask when someone from the doctor's office calls, but I don't know how to get my information to them for them to get back to me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in contact with them, I have been for about a week, and I'm currently planning on a revision from lap band to DS with him on June 25th! Good luck to you. I'm sure luz can answer all your surgery questions. If I remember right from her emails to me, a $3000 deposit is required when you get a surgery date, and then the remaining balance is paid in the form of two cashiers checks, one made out to the hospital, and the other to Dr. Ungson.

so what is the total cost for DS in mexico ?

Dr ungson's fee for the DS is $10,500 according to his website. For me it was $14,000 since I'm a revision. Email luz for more specifics, that doesn't include airfare, hotel costs, or meds to go home.

I think it depends if you do open or lap cause the information LUZ sent me states that a lap DS is $16k.
