laugh Ok no more bargging the VSG did not hurt a bit.  IT was a pieceo of cake.  WEll Let me tell you the VSG did not hurts and it was a piece of cake comparted to the part Deuz.  The surgeon did a 4 hr reviosn, scar excisions for my hysterectomy, it was a complicated OR laste about 10 hrs. Did I say I hurt,  I really REALLY HURT!!!! Percocert is my friend.  I got home Saturday eveinig.  Hd OR on tuesday.  Developed pneumonia turesay night. pysocis of ICU, low sats, BP BS and low platelets.  HIgh Cretinine, and BUN.  Still confused whre I am after sleeping.  Having massive gas and diarrhea.  doing full liquids. getting fluids in breating treatment some vits. very little protein.  My tummy is gurgling to beat the bamd and then the mount vesouvious of explosions. MD  OV on friday on ABX, liquid pain meds, blood thinner.usual meds pre op. but anticipate less BS and BP meds my BP is 99/50 BS with liquid meals 135 or so.    So now the journey begins. I need your encouragemnt things will calm down and I will loose weight gainded 10 pounds post op so far. I'm sorry you had (and are still having) such a hard time of it. It sounds like your surgeon had a hard time too! Good for him for completing your DS despite all the scar tissue.

Hang in there. It will get better! The weight gain is fluids and will rapidly come off once you "turn the corner". And then the real weight loss will start. The bowel stuff will also settle down with time. The DS really is a powerful weight loss and metabolic operation and you just haven't had a chance to experience the benefits yet, but you will.
