How much do you spend in supplements?

I have been adamant about my labs.  My Hema says I'm doing a great job compared to other's he has seen.  The surgeon's office told me around $60.  That was a joke!!!  It's truly a YMMV.

I was always a Vitamin Person but now it's a whole different animal

As far as Protein, I order the Unjury on autodelivery for 15% off.  I change monthly.  I spend about $150/mo on Protein Powder.  I looked at the last three months invoices.  $136, $150 and $180 (because I added packets to carry in my car and my bag).  This is in addition to food.

I had a terrible time after surgery with protein making me vomit.  I have not ventured away from it since I started using it.  I think I picked up some Jay Robb in a pinch when I was out one day.

I also use at least 4 and sometimes 5 protein shakes and/or yogurts a day.  I did not start having food issues until Christmas.  Now, I have a hard time with certain foods.  I waste a lot of food (even my co-worker sad something just last week).  I have to have the protein in order to live.  Other's don't, they can get by with 2 shakes a day.  Me, I can't.  I'm not going to put my body in a more compromised position.

I skimp on other things that I miss - my fun makeup, skincare stuff.  This is the choice I made!

Put me down for about $40/month for vitamins only.  I rarely do protein supplements either.  I eat

Hi Irishnurse!

I'm a RNYer but wanted to give you an idea of what my monthly cost is for vitamins (as a comparision).  My monthly cost (without BOGO, which I do try to get as often as possible) is $65.  I don't buy many protein supplements at 8 years out so I don't include those into my monthly cost.  When I struggle getting in enough protein sometimes I do add in a shake but a tub last me for several months.

I like many of the DSers by certain vitamins from Vitalady (calcium, iron, Vitamin A, D, E) and the others from Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, drugstore.com.

Interesting, Dana. What the heck are you spending that kind of money on? I spend about $25/month (all BOGO) and my labs are great (another RNYer here).
