No restriction. Since about 6 months out of surgery.
I wonder if it will be effective without restriction???

Is there an option for him to tighten you a little without taking down the full VBG?  How's your restriction compared to a normie?  I feel I eat loads but when I go to a restaurant that's when I realize I don't quite eat like a normal person (skipping the carbs is a lot easier for me as I don't have the space).

Hi there!  There is actually a study out there on this by a doc named Noyes.  It's the only one I was able to find.  If you can't find it, ask Dina Mcbride on FB.  I know she has it or can get it.  Here's the scoop according to Noyes.  He did a group of patients with the intestinal part of the DS only.  Speaking of the group as a whole, they were done with VERY short common channels, 50cm.  The group did lose on an average 30lbs and then gained it all back over the next 2 years.  And that's it as far as weight loss goes.

I would be very skeptical of this procedure unless I had very little weight to lose.

My H had this done to cure his type 2 diabetes.  His BMI was about 27 when he had surgery so Dr. Baltasar did nothing to his stomach.  H went exactly the way of the study.  Lost 30lbs and then gained it back.  Now H did eat as he pleased and he did say it was easy to control his weight.  All he had to do was cut back for a few days and the pounds would drop off.
