Carb Detox
Hello, It has been some while since I have been on the OH boards. I am over 3 yrs out and down 100 lbs. I still need to lose another 30 to 40. Here's the problem I am addicted to carbs badly always have been. Very few cause me problems other than gas some bloating but nothing major. There for I eat them without problem except weight gain. I am in need of help with good carbs vs bad carbs, food lists with carb info and any information you can pass on to me.
Again any help websites, documents profiles what ever will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kim
If you're really trying to carb detox there's no such thing as a good carb. lol The best you can do is limit your carbs to things like lettuce, mustard or collard greens, cucumbers, celery. Fruit is high in fructose (sugar). Strawberries and blueberries maybe ok but limit them. No grains. No starches like potatoes or corn or beans. Basically, Atkins Phase I and II. I'm doing it but I'm keeping my daily net carbs to under 50 and usually between 20 and 30.

Kim I had a bit of a regain last year and decided I wasn't happy with it. I just started eating like I ate when I was loosing. Adding some new no carb recipes or at least low carb. Here are some of my staples these days:
Atkins frozen meals. Wish I had had these when I was loosing.
Atkins bars and shakes limited
Broks Pizza
Whoopsie Bread. I put butter, splenda and cinamon on it and eat it hot
Greek yogurt sweetened with splenda and low sugar Smuckers jelly
Bacon usually a half a package every day
Eggs any style
Chicken salad
Protein salad: a tiny bit of lettuce covered in cheese, meats, egg.
Steak: rib eyes are the fattiest
Hamburger steak with cheese
For fast food I order sandwiches with a lot of meat and throw away ALL the bread.
Any kind of seafood is good. I buy spicy frozen tilapia fillets. They are yummy.
Polska Kilbasa and mustard
Microwave sausages
As you can see, I don't cook: I "fix". I eat a lot and all day long and I've dropped the weight I gained and then some.

Yeah you can google it. People use it for buns for burgers/sandwiches. Separate 3 eggs. Put 1/4 tsp cream of tartar in the whites and whip. Mix the yolks with 1.5 oz of cream cheese and fold into the whipped whites. Put in mounds on parchment paper and bake at 300 for 25-30 minutes.
I eat them right out of the oven slathered in melted butter, splenda and cinamon. This is one way to get that butter in.
The recipe calls for putting them in baggies and waiting over night or something. I never tried it.

It's also called "Cloud Bread" and can be found everywhere from Pinterest to food.com. I prefer the cream cheese version to the cottage cheese.
