Welcome Holly!
I am a fellow VSG to DS'r, seems we are getting more numerous as time goes on. Just wanted to wish you success in your journey; it is a learning process.
I was one of those who was not sure if the DS revision was going to work, as I never reached goal with the VSG either. I did have complications with my revision, but am doing just fine now. I am now at a normal weight BMI weighing 142 at 5'5.
The revision definitely can work if you do your part. Eat high protein, low carb, and stay on top of your supplements. Like a lot of of us who have revised to the DS, I wish I had just had the DS to begin with. The VSG was never going to be enough for me, just wish I had known it sooner. Two surgeries is no fun, but at least I think I have it right now.
Just keep doing what you're doing and I am confident your DS will get you where you want to be, even though it may seem to take a little longer than with a virgin DS. We are on the right track now.
