Surgeon informed me to eat MORE fat...what to do
Dr. K did my surgery also. I think he is a great cutter.
But I don't see how having more BMs per day is going to help you lose weight. Yea, the first time you step on the scale after 3-4 BMs that day you will be lighter... but it no longer works after that because you keep having the 3-4 BMs every day. So more BMs are not the way to break a stall. OMG-I wi**** were that easy!
But eating more fat does work. And fat will keep you full longer, and satisfy you more - while you drop your carbs. If you are not eating simple carbs, and just veggies, then cut the veggies. As others state, focus on fat and protein.
Also, read your labels at the grocery store. You might have 'carb creep' and not know it. Some times I'm shocked that my usual buy now has 8 more carbs than before....
Good luck with breaking it.
I think all our years of thinking "lo-fat" die really hard. It's difficult to re-do our old habits.
Once when I was really constipated, I came up with "butter candy." I took small pats of really cold butter and pressed in ground nuts and splenda. You can mix in a little cinnamon if you like. It amazing that it doesn't even taste like butter. The butter has to be really cold.
I use heavy whipping cream in coffee and protein shakes, whole mil**** cream ( the sugar might kill you bathroom and gas-wise), butter, meats with lots of fat marbeling, sausage (both beef and pork), bacon, cream cheese, cheddar, swiss, muenster, egg yolks.
Just a sampling...but the best of the best in fat content! Step away from the fat-free, non-fat foods!
