Hi there. Dr. Keshishian revised me from a RNY to a DS 2 years ago. I've lost 57 pounds and have another 25 more to lose. However, I've stalled.

Met with Dr. K yesterday and informed him that my diet consists of the usual protein and veggies...and that I have 1BM daily. He informed me that I should be having 3-4 BMs daily, and advised I greatly increase my fat intake since we DSers malabsorb fats to get the scale moving.

So, this advice may be music to some folks ears...for me...LOL I can't help but wonder what type of fats should I eat more of...and with that said I thought I would come to one of my favortie websites and inquire of you all what has worked for you.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions... :p

You can eat ribeye steaks and pork shoulder. : )  I use heavy whipping cream in my protein coffees. I think the 3-4 BMs a day is greatly exaggerated though. Maybe because I'm further out but increasing the fat in your diet is worth a try. I doesn't really matter what kind of fat and oil.

Eat whole fat everything!  Add butter to everything, and heavy cream to everything else.

Eat more fat!!!

Butter on everything. Full fat: mayo, greek yogurt, sour cream, fatty meats.  I'd loose the carbs (veggies) and focus on protein and fats.

Bacon, butter, sour cream, heavy whipping cream, rich sauces and gravies. One of my fave snacks is raw cauliflower with Ranch dip. Lots of roughage, lots of fat.

Avocado.  It's healthy and good for you also.

It greases my skids very well.
