Surgeon informed me to eat MORE fat...what to do
Hi there. Dr. Keshishian revised me from a RNY to a DS 2 years ago. I've lost 57 pounds and have another 25 more to lose. However, I've stalled.
Met with Dr. K yesterday and informed him that my diet consists of the usual protein and veggies...and that I have 1BM daily. He informed me that I should be having 3-4 BMs daily, and advised I greatly increase my fat intake since we DSers malabsorb fats to get the scale moving.
So, this advice may be music to some folks ears...for me...LOL I can't help but wonder what type of fats should I eat more of...and with that said I thought I would come to one of my favortie websites and inquire of you all what has worked for you.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions... :p

You can eat ribeye steaks and pork shoulder. : ) I use heavy whipping cream in my protein coffees. I think the 3-4 BMs a day is greatly exaggerated though. Maybe because I'm further out but increasing the fat in your diet is worth a try. I doesn't really matter what kind of fat and oil.
